Service of Lawsuit Through Facebook- Rapper Flo Rida Avoids Lawsuit

Rapper Flo Rida avoids lawsuit for approximately $400,000 as Australian appellate court ruled that serving him through Facebook was not appropriate “because there was no evidence that the artist was indeed connected to the social networking page.”

At least one U.S. District Court judge has permitted the Federal Trade Commission to serve defendants not residing in the United States through Facebook. In that case the judge found that the defendants did have a connection to the Facebook pages.
